MALIK GILLANI:

A 3d animator by profession but a film-maker at heart and a creative-enthusiast. Always inclined towards the inventive & vivid vicinity of life. While in His early days when most of the kids are involved in ancillary measures and games/sports, Malik on the contrary used to observe nature and the activities around Him and make sketches, drawings & paintings at the tender age of 12. Got distinctions in drawing exams, used to participate in drawing and writing competitions on school level. Soon after He discovered that Art is the medium predestined for Him. To advance His arty skills, later on He joined Karachi School of Art and studied Computer Graphic Design (Digital Media) with majors in 3d Animation. In His career of 14 years He has worked on many National and International projects like an Oscar contending Netflix Original Shortfilm Sitara, Big Ass Spider (Hollywood Movie), Ajwan (Saudi Sci-fi Series), Mansour, Shabiyat & Health Matters With Dr. Adam (Emirati 3d Series), The Chronicles of Umro Ayyar (upcoming Pakistani 3d animated feature film), Heera (upcoming Pakistani 3d animated feature film), 3 Bahadur, 3 Bahadur: The Revenge of Baba Balaam & 3 Bahadur: Rise of The Warriors (1st Pakistani 3d Animated Feature Film Trilogy), Commander Safeguard, Bankay Mian Ki Qawali, Dettol Warriors (branded Pakistan tv content), Waar and Seedlings (Pakistani Feature Films) & variety of commercials.

  • “SBC | Ramadan Idents”- (2022) – A series of short idents developed and produced by Barajoun Entertainment for SBC Saudi Channel. I have made character animations for this project

  • “Health Matters With Dr Adam”- (2019, 2021) – An initiative by UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention, Pfizer and Emirates. I have made character animations for this project

  • “Ajwan”- Season 01 (2021) – Saudi television series in 3d. I am responsible for character animations & rigging. A project by Barajoun Entertainment (UAE)

  • “The Chronicles Of Umro Ayyar” an Ingenuity Productions 3d animated feature film. I am responsible for animations and some rigging (Lead Animator / Team Lead), also to ensure high quality animations from the animation team, keeping in mind the aesthetics and requirement of the project.

  • “Team Muhafiz” an ISPR production. ISPR’s first ever 3d animated series. I am responsible for animations and rigging (3 Episodes).

  • “Heera” An Urdu feature Film by Skyspin Studios. I have animated few scenes for this movie

  • “Ankahi Baatein” by a Canada based Pakistani singer Munir Gillani. It’s a romantic tragic track, keeping in mind the mood, the soulful vocals and melody of the song, the director Malik Gillani came up with the concept/idea to incorporate 3d environments with live action, hence giving it a surreal feel justifying the true essence of the song.   • Presented and recognized in Youth Festival for presenting a 3d animated short film at Arts Council of Pakistan & in an exhibition at The Expo Center Karachi
